China Construction Banks (CCB) move to Perth bought about their third Australian Office, firmly establishing themselves across the local market. As a result, this office space, in a premium location at Golden Square, concluded with high-end finishes and attention to detail, and required a contractor dedicated to working out of sight of the building users and working with facilities teams to create minimal impact to building operations.
The recently extended building at 32 St Georges Terrace meant there were some added complexities throughout the build. The uneven floor plate at the CCB lobby meant additional screed was required to make the floor finishes level, requiring engineer inspection and approval for the additional load. A structural beam through the ceilings also required a rework of the design to accommodate the limited space.
