OPRA Projects were engaged to undertake the demolition of the (B151) Fire Pump Room and Water Reserve Tanks at Curtin University. To construct a temporary enclosed fire pump room to maintain a live wet fire system – while building the final fire pump room.
A successful transfer of the existing pump to the temporary pump room was well-coordinated through clear communications and collaboration with the stakeholders.
Despite ongoing weather conditions, the final transfer to the new facility was successfully managed and delivered. The New fire pump room will serve the campus fire system per AS2419.1, AS2118.1 and AS2118.6.
