To create more staff accommodation, Curtin University sought to repurpose Building 603 from Teaching and Learning into a new Student Services location. The programme required OPRA to achieve a seamless transition within the existing building fabric and to introduced new architectural features.
The new office space required workstations, break-out spaces and meeting rooms. Loose furniture coordination and refurbishment of the existing spaces was needed as well as the installation of 58 sit-to-stand workstations to Curtin’s specification, requiring their very own alternative solutions to cable paths. New structural beams and columns were included in the scope to provide architectural screening and division.
