In order to facilitate an internal move, the Department of Health completed fit-out and refurbishment works at 189 Royal Street.
Working closely with the Department and JLL, OPRA Projects were engaged to complete both stages which included;
- Demolition of old partitions and glazing;
- Services upgrades;
- Make good of existing ceiling grid, skirting and skirting ducts and;
- Install new joinery into the amenities and two new glass sliding doors, and an operable wall to the meeting/boardroom.
OPRA Projects were also required to facilitate and coordinate the works of client novated contractors for mechanical services, floor coverings and workstation supply and installation.
With client-side delays disrupting the Stage 1 programme part-way through the build, with all works ceasing for five weeks, OPRA Projects accommodated for an increasingly accelerated programme, with trades who had moved on to other projects. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders and ensured all trade packages were covered. In four weeks on-site, on-time completion of the stage was achieved.
