On behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trading (DFAT), CBUS Property embarked on a high security fit-out at 140 William Street. The high security specification required slab to slab perimeter walls, and strict secure sign-in processes on site with careful access plans, sign-in procedures and random spot checking of all trades on site.
The high traffic premium A-grade building required OPRA Projects to remain unseen within the building and complete the project with zero-disruptions and OPRA were required to manage multiple sensitive stakeholders and guarantee access to the Red Cross Blood Donor Centre, The Aviary Bar and other government departments.
Given the compressed nature of the programme OPRA were proactive in sourcing alternatives for the slatted timber ceiling, in getting it custom made locally. The solution was cost neutral however allowed the strict programme to be met. Sourcing an alternative supplier and manufacturer for the floor finishes and re-specifying the light fittings to the same aesthetic also assured project completion was met in just six weeks.
