Hopgood Ganim Lawyers, a successful and prominent law firm in Perth, aspired to expand their current office on Level 27 down to Level 26 with an interconnecting staircase. OPRA Projects was engaged to undertake the refurbishment to Level 27 and the new fit-out on Level 26 with a connecting structural staircase between the two.
Mirvac, the building owner of Allendale Square, also completed separate upgrades to the base building fabric as part of the tenancy fit-out – which was constructed alongside Hopgood Ganims’ expansion down to Level 26.
Strong stakeholder engagement with the client and the architect was necessary for keeping the project in line with the already compressed timeframe – proving a challenge at times with the architect residing interstate.
A high level of noise management was required to limit any disruptions to occupants of the building during the construction phase. After hour works were to ensure zero disruptions to occupants in a 100% live environment.
Due to the current pandemic, the project was complete slightly over the estimated delivery deadline. Overall, the client was pleased with the overall outcome of the project and the high quality of Workmanship.
