Once again, as part of broader building refurbishment works, OPRA Projects were engaged to upgrade the external balcony on Level 33.
Works included the demolition of existing floor finishes and partial demolition to existing airlock. Installation of new floor finishes, concrete plinth and glass balustrading and the installation of new airlock components were also included.
The project scope required a contractor to work meticulously through a detailed safety plan to deliver the project. OPRA Projects considered the allocation of full-time site management and a certified safety system as inadequate and engaged an independent specialist safety consultant to ensure the safety of all involved in the project.
The project was delivered safely, on time and budget with outstanding results.
