OPRA Projects were engaged to complete a Clinical Command Centre for Royal Perth Hospital. A facility that utilises new technologies to monitor patients remotely and better detect deterioration.
The general scope of works included: General demolition and structural inspection, installation of new services, flooring, ceilings, wet amenities and joinery.
Working adjacent to operational medical facilities, OPRA Projects needed to operate seamlessly within Royal Perth Hospital to monitor noise restrictions and constant liaison with medical staff to ensure patient and staff comfort was maintained at all times.
OPRA coordinated with the East Metropolitan Health Service and facilitated a high degree of information sharing between stakeholders.
In a project which also encountered some design changes along the way, OPRA assisted in finding alternative materials with shortened lead times and reconfigured the programme to mitigate the lengthened programme as much as possible.
