City Toyota Nedlands Refurbishment and Expansion

OPRA has successfully handed over the City Toyota Nedlands state-of-the-art facilities thanks to our long-lasting building partners.

The facility is built over two planes, extending over four different levels. The scope included the removal of the upper level of the Nedlands branch. A revised layout to incorporate the following: a new customer waiting area, a new service & parts reception, offices for the foreman and service manager, store and parts areas, new amenities, and provision for nine service bays.

The redevelopment was initially planned as a three-stage handover programme. Despite some operational complexities, the project was successfully accelerated and delivered on time.

One of the key challenges was maintaining Toyota’s 100% operational capacity throughout the construction period. This required ongoing coordination of site works, clear communication, and careful planning to minimise disruption while preserving a strong working relationship with the client.

Our early procurement of structural steel enabled specific trades to begin ahead of schedule.
This flexibility proved crucial in offsetting unforeseen delays and managing variation works efficiently.

We priced and executed approximately $200,000 in client-directed variation works throughout the project. These were delivered without impacting the overall schedule, demonstrating OPRA’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
