In preparation for ECUs new Health Science Laboratory, OPRA Projects deliver a scope of work that included site works and retaining to accommodate extensive equipment relocation.
OPRA relocated a number of shade houses, a potting shed, two glasshouses of approx. 200m2, a caged Mesocosm, a secure storage area for Nitrogen tanks and smaller storage tanks.
An understanding of the School of Sciences functional requirements was imperative. In particular, the delivery of the Mesocosm glasshouse – an outdoor experimental system for examining the natural environment under controlled conditions.
The project required the technical requirements from Argosee with some of the fabric elements coming from Germany on long lead-time. Modifications to the Campus West workshop included office space, storage facility, amenities modifications and new joinery items for Ocean Biology operations
With ZMHA, OPRA delivered an impressive design with DDA compliance in a small area.
