Both the QScan Radiology Clinic and Icons facilities were to be the newest tenants in a purpose-built facility, forming a wider medical development in Rockingham.
OPRA Projects engaged with new client, QScan, at such an early stage, we were able to provide initial design vs buildability review and advice, pre-tender budgets, programming advice and then a transparent tender process, with collaborative value engineering, in order to meet QScans budget.
The Class 9a Medical Facility included radiology services; CT scanner and associated radiation containment rooms and PET-CT scanner infrastructure, requiring core filled block or lead-lined plasterboard walls and doors to meet the shielding specification.
The project – QScans first in Western Australia – was delivered concurrently with Icons facility in Rockingham and delivered on time and on budget to a delighted client.
